ECPA promotes excellence and professionalism in public affairs, whilst helping its members avoid pitfalls. It is a pioneer in the establishment of best practice in corporate, social and environmental responsibility and undertakes benchmarking studies on corporate public affairs.
It works closely with the European Commission, the European Parliament and the Presidency and national governments of the Union to develop understanding of the evolving process of governing Europe.
These best practices are mainly developed in two manners:
• Through the interaction of its members in hubs of competence that focus on specific subjects and attempt to set out practical guidance.
• Through in-depth research and publications.
From a research & publications point of view, the publishing programme of ECPA has produced six books, including volumes of case studies, and the ECPA Occasional Papers series.
