The ECPA is dedicated to promoting the value of good public affairs work to business, civil society and the institutions of government. The ECPA believes that proper interest representation is essential to the better functioning of a democracy. It promotes transparency and excellence in public affairs work and the practices that achieve this.
The European Centre for Public Affairs is a long standing European Association of Public Affairs Practitioners in Brussels (1986) that is unique in that it brings together the entire public affairs profession. Members include in-house public affairs practitioners, consulting firms, Non-Governmental Organisations (NGOs), trade associations and academics.
The centre covers all sectors in terms of public affairs professionalism. It focuses on the practice and procedure of public affairs itself rather than on sectoral issues, and engages with the EU institutions.
